DAREDEVIL by Ania Walwicz
I tried this play one day. My father leaves his medicines open. I take a random bottle. I swig. I’m done for. Walk around so proud to have done something big. I’m John Dare. I’m a devil. I’m Evil Knievel that jumped over twenty buses. On his motorcycle. I’m not scared. Life’s good and sharp. Here for the last time I’m not bored. I’m seven and I’ve read every book in the world. I know everything. I’m an electric girl. World’s my oyster. I’m its pearl.
